Hello Everyone!
February is always a busy month here in the library. We are well into winter (Arghhh) and well into learning about library references as well. We have enjoyed learning about dictionaries, encyclopedias, almanacs, and much, much more. We are also celebrating Black History Month, by reading and learning from many talented African American authors, as well as authors from other cultures.
We have also been actively participating in the Monarch, Bluestem, and Caudill book award contests. The children have been reading many of the nominees and have determined our Budlong winners. And the winners are......
1. Monarch Award - "Too Many Toys," by David Shannon
2. Bluestem Award - "Ivy and Bean," by Annie Barrows
3. Caudill Award - "The Hunger Games," by Suzanne Collins
I would like to thank all of the students who have participated in our contest. I applaud your effort and dedication. These reading contests would not be possible without you!!!!!!!!
